At the Beach

This little portrait of M. was looking good, but the full sunlight was creating very hard contrast across her soft features. Too bright and too dark--not a good mix. Her dad held a large diffuser over her which reduced the sunlight on the bright side which makes the shadow side appear brighter. this soft light is much more flattering for a day at the beach. Plus, it saturates and evens out the colors of her bathing suit. The background exposure was reduced using Lightroom.
